Assateague is an Island located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia.

The Assateague Mobile Sportsfishermen's Association is an organization that was created to help preserve and protect the Over Sand Vehicle Section of the beach. Originally the organization was created in 1965 and was named the "Beach Buggy Association". AMSA has evolved to a great organization with over 1,500 members, numerous events including an annual Fishing Tournament, a Camporee, several beach clean-up sessions, assisting the National Park Service, take a kid fishing day, a Winter Gala, an Annual Expo and have become the true keepers of the beach by helping protect Assateague Island.

AMSA would like to thank everyone who has made a generous donation to help with our efforts to maintain access. 100% of these contributions will be used to maintain vehicle access to Assateague Island National Seashore. We sincerely appreciate your support.
